Coffee Table Displays...

I love how your coffee table can say so much about who you are and what you're all about, where you've been, and your latest interests... My coffee table is always changing to suit my mood or show off my latest finding... That's where my freshest flowers sit, my latest novel, and of course some candles...On mine at the moment, sits a bull skull....I have wanted one of these for years now and have just recently found the perfect one. I actually told the guy I bought it from I wanted to hug him I was so happy, kinda scared the guy a bit but Oh well! Here is my coffee table at the moment...

For me, it personifies my love of  white, nature, and reading, and adds another element to my that bohemian look I love so much.

Moroccan Wedding Blankets...

I have wanted a Moroccan wedding blanket, (which can also conveniently be a rug!) for soooo long now, I did a post on them a year ago and still haven't gotten one, but only because I haven't been able to shell out the anywhere from $700-1000 for one....yet.... BUT I was able to find a pillow made out of one that I'm so in love with, I carry it from room to room, unsure where I love it most, on my bed, or my sectional...so far its in my living room, where I can enjoy it most. Anyway, here's a picture of it and also some photos of the blanket I so adore and am waiting patiently for, maybe an anniversary prez from my hubby this year?? I may start hinting :)

Board....

Good morning everyone!! So, I haven't been blogging too much because, frankly I'm a bit bored with the decorating world right now, which has forced me to investigate some different areas of decorating to mix things up a bit...case in point, the first photo of my new skateboard, which, in need of wheels, also makes quite the statement as a decorating piece, mixed in with piles of books, art and other objects, wouldn't you say? I have recently discovered skateboards (and actually learning to skateboard!!), because my daughter is into them, and  love that they are so artistic, and bring an edge to my home, I love a good "edginess" in a room, and cant wait to get some wheels on this baby and break it in! You can be sure, it will still live in full view all scratched up too, because I'm a firm believer in making your home a reflection of you...

Tea Party...

Hi everyone! I love my tea, and in the summer I love my favorite teas cold...for instance I'm kinda hooked on making a cold steeped green tea at home- (I get the Tazo Zen from Starbucks), mixed with some lemon aid and a shot of vanilla syrup and its incredibly refreshing! I've experimented this concoction with other cold teas and its just as yummy! So, I thought I'd share some pretty photos of tea with you, just cause...

I don't know if you are familiar with Sass and Bide but their fashion line is quirky and  free spirited and a bit over the top.....One of the owner's- Heidi Middleton's home was featured on Oracle Fox's blog and it too is just as free spirited, check it out...

Modern Boho...With an edge...

When I think of my style in my home, I'd say its mix of : pretty Bohemian, Modern, artsy, and a bit edgy (ie: the odd skull). Feathers, fur, natural woods and other elements, handmade items, lots of pillows -that's the bohemian in me, but I like how the modern items clean it up and make it less stuffy than the boho you may be familiar with.When I really think about it, I started adding items that spoke of boho a few years ago- my African head dress, Mongolian fur pillows, natural crystals, and some Moroccan pieces, such as tea glasses and poufs, (In my research of boho spaces, I have seen alot of them incorporate Moroccan pieces, interesting)....So, I'm only just now realizing what my "look" would be defined as, and am leaning more into it, keeping those modern and edgy touches throughout....Therefore, I'd say my look is a "Modern Boho, with an edge" and I suppose I've been heading here for a while now! These are the photos that are inspiring me...

Crushing on Crochet...

I love handmade crocheted items...My mom has always crocheted blankets for my brother and I, we probably had a new one made every few years when the last one would wear out, and just recently my mom made me another one, I use it everyday, and I always think of her when I'm cuddled up in it. But further than blankets, there are so many amazing crocheted things out there! It kind of blew my mind how many items can be crocheted now! I mean who knew!? Here are a few of my favorites...
