The Art of Display- Coffee Tables...

Now that I have a coffee table instead of an ottoman, I can display to my hearts content and at a whopping 44 inches, I have a nice size area to do this! I like to display things that mean something to me and truth be told I am always switching things up. Currently though, I have an inlaid black and white bone box filled with photos and cards from my husband and daughter, a few fashion coffee table books I am loving, a scented candle that I light every evening while my husband and I talk about our day, and recently I bought a pyramid glass opening box where I plan to display the latest  my husband or daughter has brought home for me on their daily travels....the latest item placed in there was a heart shaped leaf my husband found on the ground after a rain that he said  made him think of me....so sweet, huh? I also have a silver tray with crystal decanters and my beloved Crystal Head skull vodka, because as of right now I don't have a bar cart, plus I love the sparkle it brings to the table!
I love seeing the items others choose to display on their coffee tables, especially if the items placed there have a special meaning to them.... so here are a few photos of some that I recently pinned on Pinterest!

A Statement With Neon...

Most of us have neutral interiors so that we can add a bit of color here and there with flowers or throw pillows, or books, but have you ever considered making a statement with a real punch of color such as neon? Maybe painting a wall or your front door in a neon pink? I love seeing the colors, and a magazine cover will definitely catch my eye if there's a pop of neon on it. Although its pretty, I will more than likely NOT paint an entire wall neon, but just add the odd splash of neon with maybe a pretty little journal or some great books, but now that I think about it, it might be a great focal point in an entrance or I may paint a wall neon in my daughters room....hmmmm...... Enjoy!

Table Lamp Lowdown....

I love a great table lamp...I kind of have an addiction to them and have a couple put away that I like to change up every so often. I sold quite a few before I moved and am now in the market for a couple bedside lamps. I love a black shade and have never actually had a lamp with a white shade but am open to it if its the perfect shade for the perfect lamp....so I have a few that I have to choose from, take a peek and tell me what you think!

 I came across this AMAZING office recently designed by Tiffany Richey. I think its the wallpaper that the eye goes to first, no? Anything black and white gets me at hello and this office definitely does it!! Enjoy!

"Fall"ing for Fur....

Well folks, I'm not sure how you all feel about it but fall is approaching...I for one love fall.... hate winter, but love fall. There's a coziness about the leaves falling, cozy fireplaces, stormy nights, fuzzy sweaters. In my home I like to break out the faux fur throws, scented candles, organic hot teas, and my novels I've been saving just for the fall weather. I have also been saving a bunch of photos of ways to use fur in your home, whether its a sheepskin rug, a throw across your bed or just a couple of pillows. If you incorporate even just one or two of these into your home this fall, I guarantee you will be the more cozy for it!! Have a wonderful weekend!

Mya Baby...

I'm dedicating this post to my sweet little girl today, Mya Saryn, only she isn't so little anymore...I enrolled her in what is considered junior high here, grade 6, with homeroom and lockers.... and its killing me, literally making me want to ball my eyes out...she has grown up so fast! I have to say she is the sweetest daughter ever, and truly my best friend....so on that note I wanted to share a few photos of my heart and soul...Have a great Thursday everyone!
